In May this year, director Ruben Östlund won his second Palme d’Or with the wickedly funny satire Triangle of Sadness, making him the third director to have won the prestigious award for consecutive films—and we’re excited that awards don’t stop coming.
Announced just last week on December 11, Triangle of Sadness took four top European Film Awards: best picture, director, screenplay and actor (Zlatko Burić). A day later, it received two Golden Globes nominations: Best Picture – Musical/Comedy and Best Supporting Actress (Dolly De Leon).
The film is also a nominee for AACTA International Awards for Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor (Woody Harrelson), and Critics Choice Award for Best Comedy.
Triangle of Sadness is “the most fun you will have at the cinema this year, possibly ever” (Forbes) and “the best movie involving a boat since ‘Titanic'” (Variety). Don’t miss it on the big screen and enjoy it with the biggest crowd possible. You won’t regret it.
In Australian cinemas Boxing Day.
